You all had to know this one was coming. The classic Philly Cheesesteak is on sale at the Double Clutch stand at Miller Park during the current four-game set with the Philadelphia Phillies.
The sandwich features thinly sliced sirloin beef served fresh off a sizzling grill along with sautéed peppers and onions. Provolone cheese and/or creamy cheese sauce top the sandwich which is served on a thick hoagie bun. A side of house made Miller Park chips are on the side. The meal is $10.
Rumor has it that Brewers bullpen catcher Marcus Hanel has been known to polish off a couple of cheesesteak sandwiches on Brewers road trips to Philadelphia. I’m not sure on the exact count from the recent road trip (we keep track of a lot of stats, but not that stat!), but I might bring this down for him to try as he is the cheesesteak expert. I had mine “wit out” and it was pretty good. Since it is a four-game series, I might even have another one on Saturday!
A staple of the Double Clutch, the Spaghetti-in-a-Meatball is also available again and features a 1/2 pound beef and veal meatball stuffed with spaghetti and mozzarella cheese and topped with marinara sauce. That is also $9.
The Double Clutch stand is on the Loge Level outside section 215 (on the first base side of the press box).
